Zoom Communications, Inc., launched its cloud-based telephony service, Zoom Phone, in Chennai, marking its expansion into Tamil Nadu. This launch follows the company’s rollout in Maharashtra in October 2024.
Zoom Phone enables businesses to manage inbound and outbound calls via the public switched telephone network (PSTN), replacing traditional PBX systems and integrating with Zoom’s other communication tools.
It also features Zoom AI Companion, an AI-powered assistant that is included at no extra cost with paid Zoom accounts. It offers post-call summaries, voicemail prioritisation, and task extraction.
